The Woodrow Wilson Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship in Women’s Rights is the most prominent cross-disciplinary fellowship in the field of women’s and gender studies. It was established in 1974, when first fellows were named. To this day, the program has had more than 500 fellows, some of whom went on to become business and government leaders.
Fellowship applications are open to Ph.D. students at their final year of dissertation writing. Dissertations need to focus on topics regarding gender and women, and the fellowship is primarily open to projects in humanities and social sciences.
